Shugengan Lord Update

With the Great Spirit Longma put aside patiently awaiting her rider, the Shugengan Lord is in the works! This colour palette has to be one of the most exciting and challenging ones I’ve put to date. Both in the careful balance working in this range that teeters between green and yellow, but also working in the summer heat, where the battle of paint consistency is a real struggle. Wishing I was an early morning person so I can paint during the cooler times of sunrise.

Preparations in the tutorial side of things is we will see the first part of painting Longma as well as the start to our awaited Skin Challenge series. This series will be more open in model subjects compared to the Stormcast Challenge which involved all armours from the GW Stormcast army. With the Skin, we will be starting with a GW sized Ogre to work on bigger volumes, then moving into a human sized model to get our concepts smaller with less muscle n fat. As well as working back towards both a 50mm and a female bust.

Lastly, I’ll be away for a short 4 days from Monday to Thursday in Whistler with my friend Josh and his wife Simona from the UK! You may know him as @omegonedge from IG wirh his creative busts and infamous Alpha Legion. Stay cool, calm and creative on the brush :)
