May Recap and forward into June

Another month is coming to a close, and I think it's a good time to cover what's passed through my brush, as well as what's just over the horizon. With my second recorded bust, Usuper from Mindworks Games, I've been on an amazing journey, both in the inspiration that has spawned this project and the limited palette work of blues that the painting demands. Parts 1 & 2, which feature his face through the process of sketching his features and then follow up with the stages of refinement, are both included, with just under 4 hours of painting and theory to help you learn and navigate this larger scale. Then, moving back into the realm of Warhammer 40k, we take a visit back to Prospero and a pair of Votann Hearthkyn Salvagers in a mini diorama featuring them on the eve of being ambushed by the new Thousand Sons Sekhetar Robots. Starting this mini series with Part 1 of the Votann armour, building out volumes, textures, and a focus on highlight control to set the lighting mood.

Coming in June, I'm excited to conclude Usurper with Part 3, covering his hair and the rest of the bust. As well as a colour working guide to break down the composition, and concluding thoughts on this experiment of expression and inspiration. Back on Prospero, we have the second part, which covers the other half of the Votann, and a breakdown of the Diorama process, which was painted for Warhammer Community. Finally, we set our gaze out east towards the lands of the Grand Cathay and beyond! Nothing I can show now, but you will be seeing the curtain unveiled when the time is right.

Lastly, I am now happy to say that I've been welcomed into the MIG Ammo family as a sponsored creator/artist. After painting for several months and testing their new range of Ionic Paints, I've finally given them the thumbs up on how they perform on my brush and how they mesh with my other mediums, such as Kimera. As you may know about me, the paints I use aren't meant to stand as "must-haves" to achieve results. Using substitutes and what's available to you at the current time is perfectly fine. But if you are interested in picking up some for yourself or anything in the MIG Ammo Catalogue, please help yourself to an extra 10% off by using my discount code: BBIONIC10. This also bumps me a little 10% kickback on your total purchase as well, so it's a nice little extra show of support.

Happy Painting!
