Azrael is a more recent commission piece done for a private collector. The same person who has been commissioning me to paint many of the other Dark Angels projects such as Lion El Jonson, Belial, Azmodai, and the Jump Captain “God Light”. Experimenting again with small tweeks to the classic colour scheme with most notably the darker orange robes substituting the more common lighter bone coloured robes. It’s fantastic to continue to push new painting methods and making painting power armour still a pleasure with discoveries still being made throughout the painting process.
