Coming this week - Aeldari Farseer Fluo
Hey everyone, I hope you are having a great start to the second week of August. On the desk I have a new project which I've been busy in the concept stages, painting, and creative revisions/evolutions of this Aeldari Farseer which is being painting for a commission to a wonderful friend and fellow student! This piece has started with a change to a more "normal" direction is that I wanted to switch up the workflow and take in further different forms of inspiration and new tools to use through the process. There is a lot of new new coming into this piece, and I'm just as stoked to share the entire process with you here on Patreon.
The most visual forward thing you may notice that I am working off a Fluo base rather than our more usual Black, Grey, White primers. But there are many more aspects to the painting than what we simply lay down with our brushes. Building out the concept and visual inspirations that are nowhere near anything Warhammer or Fantasy related. Trying out a new approach to painting taken from a contemporary portrait painter, and abstract digital art. Utilizing a new visual painting tool Chromamagic. Meditations, mind-set, and being vulnerable to your choices.
Giving you an idea of what to expect, the first video will feature everything above. An introduction to the project talking about the creative process, tools I will utilize in the analysis, concepts, and revisions. Paints that I will be using and considering in preparations to the project. Then following this, will be a more standard painting process with revision notes and any dynamic changes that come during the creation. (Yes, there are things I change on the fly that I was vibing with).
I hope you're excited as I am in sharing this creative process with you all, and inspire you to take some of these tools to encorporate them into your own workflow. Sure, some of you may want to copy the painting scheme for your own, and by me sharing it, you are certainly welcome to it. But for many of you here, I think you will be interested to hear how we can push the boundaries of our own work and show new possibilities to the models we all love.
