Aeldari Update!
Following my latest video of the Aeldari Farseer Kharseth with this new Masterclass series detailing The Concept behind the painting. I've been making further progress, utilizing Chromamagic and Procreate for further colour analysis and concept developments following that update. This time I'm moving onto the back robes, and shoulder armour, covering more of the initial fluo basecoat. Noting that this section is where you will see the closest resemblance to the base. Things are really coming together, and excited to be moving into the smaller and more detailed sub elements later today.
Shown in a time-laps video below I'd like to share a concept session on Procreate that I often do between paint sessions at home, away from the painting desk. I often find giving myself some space from the project, where it be several hours in the evening after dinner. As well as physical distance, gives me a new perspective and emphasis on exploring ideas, rather than jumping straight back on the piece with paint and brush in hand. This gives my ideas time to "cook", and allows me to explore further to develop the best idea out of many variations. As I hope you're getting the picture, that this project starts with a foundation stated at the beginning. And the rest of the painting develops and matures stemming from this initial work. It's a living piece, and the painting is still being solved along the way.
You can observe ideas about adding a secondary ambient light reflection in the inner red cape. Belt colour serparation, trim on the turquise robes and central sash. And even adjustments to the light on the left leg.
