Armageddon tutorials incoming!

That’s right! With my new camera mount and lighting setup complete, I can confidently film a host of new tutorials centred around the new Armageddon box! Starting with the Blood Angels colours, this power armour tutorial will focus around a detailed analysis of the armour volumes, brushstroke textures and freehand. Aimed at getting the most out of each shape and extending a feeling of these surfaces. In a follow-up part of the astartes section, I’ll be covering the iconic elements to paint, such as the chest Aquila, bolter, chainsword and purity seals. Giving you all a solid blueprint to take into your own Blood Angels and beyond to the countless host of Astartes across the Imperium.

Then into the Orks, I’ll be exploring the various skin examples we can create that move beyond just “green”. With a focus again on volumes of muscles and creating smaller details such as blemishes, veins, and scars. Using these as another blueprint to help your Ork skins as well as colour recipe ideas to cook with!

I’ve had to repaint and film the Custodies Red Cape. Honestly it’s simply that I don’t like it, and I’m not going to give you all something that I’m not stoked about the process. I’ll be repainting it next week and give you all a much better tutorial that will also come with a more in-depth colour breakdown with using “Red”. Especially since we are exploring the Blood Angels, a little colour breakdown I think would be valuable for you all.

With Twitch, it’s been a great start jumping in there for the last couple weeks on stream! Thanks to all that have tuned in thus far, and I invite all of you to join me. Finding my pocket in the stream world continues, and it’s a nice opportunity to open up a bit of socializing on the brush, while also weaving in my thoughts and some lessons in there too. I’ll be streaming every Monday & Wednesday starting at 10:00 PST (13:00 EST - 16:00 UK).

And finally….coming Monday I turn 41! This guy is gettin past the middle age bump and celebration with some friends and fam ☺️✌️❤️. Life feels good, creativity is flowing, and my brushwork is moving in the right place. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Painting! See you next week✌️
