I am back from my honeymoon in Japan!

Hello everyone, It's been a few days since I've been back from my Honeymoon in Japan! Besides my itch to pick up the brush once again, answer emails, battle jetlag, and catch up on the excitement of the past Golden Demon in Spiel. I have a host of new things coming your way here on Patreon. Hopefully when I was away, you got to catch the first few video tutorials of my new Masterclass series on the Nurgle Blight Templar, and how I am continuing to push my Flourescent base painting methods into a new and gritty territory. Creating a lot of textures and helping you develop your own signatures on the brush. Speaking of Masterclasses, there is to be a second starting just around the corner! October is supposed to be Orktober, and I have not forgotten my Ork I've started with the release of Armageddon. This new Masterclass will be featuring this piece, giving you a deep dive into painting a more classic green skin with of course a touch of my own self in there, and delivering the methods I use to bring it all to a high Golden Demon level finish. This piece of course being my first entry into Adepticon 2027!

Being recently back, I always like to warm up the painting hands with some simple gaming pieces that don't require the precision that demands in high level displays. Being loose with low steaks, and getting to fulfill the tabletop itch I get. Finally after a year of painting small pieces here and there, my Golden Keshig of the White Scars unit is complete. Bringing my jetbike collection total to 20, it was really fun to bust these out for a game of Heresy, and honestly one of my first real games with 1.5k points finished so far. In classic gaming scenario's they managed to do jack shit, failing LD tests and not performing at all, but hey that is the classic new painted model syndrome that all new models have to face! I'm just stoked they are done and in the army cabinet, rather than sitting on my WIP shelf, a much better home for them :)

In the livestream efforts, I'll be back doing some Hobby Hangout on Wednesdays starting at 13:00pst for those who wana kick it with me while I paint. Talk some recent GD works of the winners, do some more army painting, and will be a great afternoon to kick it with all of you and a good time to inquire on display painting questions you may have after the recent Speil.

Speaking more of Japan, I was really lucky to have met up with my friend Ken who is a phenomenal painter that you might be familiar with his work @KenKenwf on Instagram. He was really luck to snag a free seat with my wife and to a Tokyo FC game! Under a cloudless sky in the blazing mid day sun, it was a scorcher but hella fun. And of course him being crazy, he brought along with him some of his working pieces including his Eldar GD entry!

Got to spend 5 nights down in the southern most island perfecture of Japan in Okinawa. The bluest water and such amazing sand. I was a certifed beach bum, with a beer in hand, eating the best Jerk Chicken, and listening to Japanese regeee dub records. If I had my paints and a brush I would certainly never leave and becoming a Japanese resident there on the spot!

Finally the most insane thing happened back in Tokyo by complete chance I ran into my old friend Trevor and his partner that I've known from Highschool at a random intersection! Out of all the places and the Millions of people there, it was crazy to have spotted each other! By fun chance they walked with me to the Warhammer store in Tokyo where we got to look at some incredible displays, including a few from my friend Ken that he's kept there on display. Saw a couple games being played, and picked up a couple pieces of exclusive merch with a keychain and towel.

I have to say how touched I was with so many congratulations on my Marriage to my Wife Terra whom we've been together for 12 years. The love and support coming from all my Patreons, friends, colleagues has been really special. Thank you once again, and I'm looking forward to carrying my passions forward into my pieces, and sharing the process with you all here.

Much love and Happy Painting

Bb
